United Dance provides dance tuition in genres such as jazz, ballet (RAD syllabus), hip hop, tap (Glen Wood Syllabus) and contemporary/lyrical by qualified and experienced teachers.

Principal Madeleine Price of United Dance has been dancing for 17 years, starting at the age of 2yrs old under the guidance of Debbie Rae Dancers, Marie Walton Mahon, Debbie Linnert, as well as Karen Thomas. She has been teaching for 4yrs at various studios including Oxygen All Stars, East Maitland Dance Headquarters and Sloan’s Dance Academy. Madeleine has studied tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, contemporary and classical ballet. She is trained in RAD ballet syllabus and Glenn Wood Tap Syllabus, to develop her skills as a dancer and teacher; she attends many workshops across all genres of dance. Madeleine has taught dance at Maitland High School and choreographed dances for Hunter Dance Festival as well as student choreographer for Star struck. Her hip hop routine competed at the Australian National Cheer and Dance Competition and placed 3rd! She has been selected as feature dancer for the 6 years running at Starstruck and has received awards such as “Excellence in Student Achievement as 2010 Starstruck, Hunter Dance Festival choreographer and featured performer, school sport dance teacher”.
Madeleine has trained, performed and competed in contemporary and jazz styles under the guidance of Debbie Linnert, choreographer for “So you think you can dance”. She was a dancer for HSC dance students and has won many eisteddfods including championship titles in Jazz and Tap; and has also featured in a dance commercial for Oral B and ‘Jeremy Takes Photo’s’ dance levitation photo-shoot.
Madeleine’s love for dance and teaching has inspired her to study for a diploma in a Bachelor of Secondary Teaching/Health & Physical Education at Newcastle University. She is very compassionate and strives to help and encourage children in the love of dance, to help them gain confidence, coordination and skills, as well as providing a friendly, family atmosphere.
